Kitchen Scale Recommendations

I've been thinking about getting a kitchen scale to help with portion sizing. I'm interested in something digital that won't break the bank. What are you using? Would you recommend it? Any links (especially to Prime options on Amazon) are much appreciated.
Thanks all!

I just bought a nice (very compact) stainless steel digital scale from Costco for less than $20. It's from Kamenstein. I like that it's compact, so doesn't take up much counter space. It measures in ounces, kilos, grams, pounds and has a tare button so I can cancel out the weight of my containers.
Amazon has it too, and it's eligible for Prime, but cost about $27 there: http://www.amazon.com/Kamenstein-Stainless-Digital-Kitchen-Silver/dp/B00AQMGFDI/ref=sr_1_fkmr2_1?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1360859921&sr=1-1-fkmr2&keywords=kamenstein+kitchen+scale0 -

I bought this one on Groupon for 21 bucks awhile ago. It's been on twice now. It's a really great little scale. Keep an eye out, because food scales pop up there a lot.0 -
I love my EatSmart scale! It is small, comes in five colors, and weighs in grams, kilograms, ounces, and pounds. It has a tare function. It is $25 and yes it is an Amazon Prime product.

Do you have Tuesday Morning in your area? I just picked up a Sharper Image digital kitchen scale for $15. This one, only cheaper:

Gah! I didn't even think about Costco or Tuesday Morning! Thanks a bunch for those recommendations! To the user who purchased from Costco, how long ago was that? I do have to make a Costco run very soon...
And I'll check out the Tuesday morning too. I'm so glad I posted this!!0 -

I'm considering buying the EatSmart scale (I love their digital body scale). What is the "tare function"?0 -

I have this one as well and love it. It's so easy to use.0 -
A tare function means that you place your empty container on the scale and it zeros the scale to the weight of the plate. That way you are only weighing the food, not the container too0

I got a "Biggest Loser" scale at a kitchen outlet store. I liked it because it is low profile with a nice size flat tray. The final reason I got it is because of the "tare" button. This way I can place whatever type of item on the scale I want (paper plate, measuring cup, bowl, etc.) hit the tare button and it goes to zero so I can be sure of the weight. It weighs up to 6lbs but of course we would never need that! lol
It was also around 10 bucks! Jackpot!
It is also very small in size so it is easy to store and isn't heavy. Oh and digital!
Good luck to you on your journey!
Good luck to all of us!0 -
I just bought mine last month from Costco. I was in there last week and saw that they still have them in stock. Maybe your Costco does too.0

I'm definitely buying this one in black. The food scale I have now is crap.0 -
I purchased a Taylor one from Target this morning. It has a 6.6 lbs capacity, has a tare function, is digital, and has a glass tray. It is fairly small. They are on sale this week for $20 - I already used it to measure my cottage cheese and deli meat for my lunch Thanks for all the suggestions and feedback!0

I got the OXO Good Grip from BB&B

They always send us 10-20% off coupons so I think I walked out the door with it for around $40. Thing for me is it measure up to 11 pounds and is easy to read.0
