check you settings. in there you should have what your goal is to do. lose so much per week, gain, maintain, etc. then using quite a rudimentary formula it calculates your rough estimate of how many calories you should consume a day based on height/weight/activity level. remember this is only a guideline and not a rule nor any ultimate right/wrong answer. focus on making smarter choices and eating healthier options of foods (grilled vs fried, fresh vs canned, etc) focus on quantity of your meal and eat slowly to make sure you are registering how your hunger is ebbing and listen to your body.
all these health options and articles and diets and fads are so confusing! trust me, from a been there done that and became obsessed just focus on being healthy and your weight does follow
