Sweet Potato Price?

This is a bit of a weird question, I know, but does anyone know when the prices of sweet potatoes will go down? In the fall they were really cheap like 20 cents per pound and now they're almost a dollar per pound.

    well it depends on where the store gets them from. where they are available. I could be wrong but i think the harvesting time is around october

    Where do you live? They've always been $.99/lb in both states I've lived.

    ETA: They've randomly been on sale for $.75/lb (around Thanksgiving and a few weeks ago, for some reason) but that's it. I don't think $.99/lb is expensive at all though; they're actually one of the cheapest produce items.

    The price tends to hover around $0.69 per pound here.
