Starting to lose sight

So I'm laying down on my back and I look at my belly button it's not there where I lost weight the fat and skin kinda just covers it. It's hard to explain. I have read stories about loose skin after weight loss and I thought I was doing everything right to avoid it as much as possible. But now I'm starting to wonder if losing weight was such a good idea. If I don't feel better about myself after weight loss then what was the point. I never had any health issues. Yea my self esteem was low but if my stomach keeps looking like this than I'm gonna have lower self esteem. For example god forbid me and my husband ever split I'm only 22 and guys now adays are so stuck on looks I don't think I would ever be able to find anyone else. They would see my body and freak out. I'd have a better chance of finding someone being overweight I feel. Sorry for the long random rant I'm just contemplating wether losing is a good idea.

Okay, first of all, losing weight if we are over a healthy medical weight is ALWAYS a good idea, as long as we don't get underweight. Even if you had no health-related problems, think of all the ones down the road you saved yourself from by losing.
Second, keep it in TODAY. For today, you (hopefully) have a hubby who loves and supports u, no matter your size. Furthermore, should u ever find yourself single again, why would u even WANT any guy who would reject you for something as shallow as the skin on your stomach. Seriously? Worrying about what imaginary-shallow-future-guys will want? THAT is gonna govern your choices today? SELF-LOVE. That is the answer.
Finally, as to whether losing is a good idea, it all depends on what your reasons are. If you are doing it so that others will find you more attractive, or doing it for any reason related at all to OTHER people, you will always feel inadequate.
If you are doing it for YOU, then it can't fail.0 -

You know what that's all I needed thank you. You are absolutely right. My husband always tells me your perfect the way you are and it doesn't matter what you will look like after. It's NOT the looks he fell for. And your right again about the shallow guys that would be too concerned about looks. Losing is always a good thing. I don't know what I was thinking. Yesterday was so excited about what I lost and this morning I guess I just had a weak moment and thoughts lead to another. I have an 18 month old baby and I want to be able to play and run when he gets older. I'm doing if for me and my son and not for appearance for some guy. thank you0

I think you are doing a wonderful thing by trying to lose weight and become healthy. That is always a plus ! Your husband loves you for who you are on the inside and outside. Try to stay positive, it sounds like you are on the right track. I would also like to suggest that you should start or continue a really serious strength training program. This will no doubt help you firm up, you will be amazed at how much different you will look. Keep up the amazing work and remember you are setting a great example of health for your child. : )0
