So....I have been losing weight consistently and exercising every single night and so far this week I am stuck at the 10lb loss mark. I am due for my period any day now. I never in the past, really paid attention to how much weight I gained right beofre....is this really normal to not lose around this time of month? I have been busting my *kitten* and seems like nothing to show for it this week. Starting to get discouraged. Sorry if TMI...just wondering if this normally happens to others.

I retain way more water right before and during the first couple days of mine. I try not to weigh myself then because it's never accurate for me. I would say just stick to it and don't weigh in til after and see where you're at then0

I gain a couple of lbs during The Red Tide. They disappear a few days after it goes back out. In fact, right now it's in and I'm staying the hell away from my scale. lol0

Thanks Ladies. I'm trying not to get discouraged but........0

I can fluctuate up to 5 lbs because of TOM. I advise like everyone else, do not weigh yourself.0

I have the same problem. I just skip the scale that week so I don't get too worked up about it.0

I just went through this same "panic" last week. My scale obsession had me up 4 lbs in 2 days. I actually found comfort in a nother post on the board and realized when all was said and done I was back down to normal with an extra pound lost! Dont Fret0

I pack on the water weight at 2 times of the month  Ovulation is around 2lbs upwards and then the day before Mother Nature really kicks my @ss she throws me another 2lbs! Its HELL but Ive figured Im safe to weigh in for the 2 weeks after Voldemort week and then stuff the scales behind the toilet!0

Last month my visitor didn't impact on my weight loss, I dont know whether it will this week - weigh in is tomorrow and my visitor arrived this morning.
I have heard that a lot of women have fluctuations at their TOM up to 5lbs and maybe more. It's water retention and sometimes bloating.
Keep doing what you're doing and remember that even if the scales go up its NOT fat.0
