First Friday of Lent. What is your most favorite fish dish?

Having a tuna sandwich at lunch and swordfish tacos for supper. Aside from the marinated salmon we last week and Captain D's that is all the fish I know. Any fantastic ideas for healthy and delish fish? I have a lot more Fridays to go and fast food hushpuppies are not in this gal's future.

I'm gonna try some talapia lightly seasoned and homemade baked fries for dinner. I had a small homemade smoothie for breakfast and probably will have a grilled cheese sandwhich for lunch. lol0

Haddock baked in parchment with lemon pepper and a smidge of butter. Mild, meaty, filling and delicious!
Of course, haddock fish and vinegar chips from a chipper in Aberdeen is crazy good - but like, a week's worth of calories!!0 -
Baked salmon with parmesean cheese sprinkled on top and a squirt of lemon juice! Don't forget the side salad and wine!0

Tilapia dipped in bread crumbs and parmesan cheese is a weekly staple in our house. Also look up tuna noodle casserole on skinnytaste.com. That's yummy too.0

Salmon cakes with almond flour instead of regular flour. Makes them extra crispy and delicious.0

It freaks people out a lot but I really like fish fajitas. I just use whatever white fish I have in the house, coat the fillets in the seasoning (which I made from this recipe - http://mexican.food.com/recipe/fajita-seasoning-mix-28011) and bake them in the oven. Then I slice/fork it up and have on tortillas with salsa or sometimes just by itself because it's so tasty Not to everyone's taste though!0

Having read recent studies that show that a disturbingly high percentage of fish you order in restaurants or buy in stores isn't what it's labeled as, I haven't been eating a lot of fish lately.0

First: Super Simple Salmon is coated with equal parts Dijon and (real) Maple Syrup then baked until just done.
Second: Salt & Pepper white fish (any kind, tilapia/sole/cod/haddock) filets individually wrapped in foil with citrus slices and juice (can be lemon/orange/lime/grapefruit), thinly sliced veggies (any on hand, but always onions - I last used carrots, zucchini and asparagus and ginger). Close foil around filets tightly and fish will steam along with the veggies in a 375 oven for 20-30 minutes.0 -

Teryaki Catfish
Clams
Mussels
I just ate 1/2 10" breaded icelandic cod sub (omg nom nom nom)
lobster
crab legs (esp when you can find AYCE)
fried calamari - Olive Garden is really good (and high calorie :grumble: )
Homemade I go with fresh Tilapia fried in water in a skillet with some garlic poweder and mushrooms. Sprinkle a little fresh parm chz on and go to town!0 -
We have tuna noodle as well...for dinner tonight we are having something I made up..haha Mini peeled frozen shrimp, sautéed in extra virgin olive oil and then made into a cream sauce with fat free milk, a little flour and Extra Spicy Mrs Dash...pour that over Barilla Plus angel hair pasta...maybe add some peas or something in there..0

Most any firm white fish will be great with this sauce on top. Just saute some onion and garlic throw in some capers, olives and chopped sundried tomatoes ad a little white wine, and the sauce is done.0

My new favorite fish is Swai (bought frozen from Trader Joes but have also been seeing in local grocery ads). I squeezed 1/2 of a fresh cara cara orange and baked the fillet in the juice after seasoning with salt and pepper. Cut up the remaining 1/2 an orange and 1/2 a avocado to put on top. This was awesome and will definitely be on my meal plan again.0
