I am so sick & so hungry, but it won't stay down & I want to whine to someone!! I want to eat my calories!!! As upset as I am that my son is sick (and has been vomiting for 4 days!) and now I'm sick even though I tried to be vigilant about washing my hands, cleaning the house, etc...I'm pretty pissed that I can't even get in 800 calories today, and most of them came back up...and I'm hungry...waaahhhh!!

AND hubs & I had a sitter for tomorrow night & were going to go out to dinner & celebrate Valentines Day!! When this is all done, all I can say is that I am eating WHATEVER THE HELL i WANT at dinner when we finally get to celebrate Valentines Day.

  • If you're sick, don't worry about calories until you're well enough to sustain them. Just nourish and nurture for now.

vomitting takes a lot of work. If you have purged multiple times per day, you should get calorie credit as 'Exercise'. Probably 30 - 50 calories per shot. Good ab/core work out...

    Hope you feel better soon.

This! And make sure to clench your butt cheeks while you're face down in the toilet.

Boil potatoes in hot water, add 1-2 tbsp butter, mash it and salt it a bit. That always stays down for me.

If you are better you can add a bit of milk to make them real mashed potatoes but not until you are vomiting. And absolutely not if you have fever.

This reminded me when I was a kid and had the flu my mom would make me eat jello, and for the longest time Jello always smelled and tasted like vomit to me. LOL

It was so bad here that a local university closed for two days because they had more than 300 students sick with it.

I hope you feel better soon.
  • Ha ha. Sorry to hear you are sick, but hang in there. Kids are petri dishes for illness, valentine's is for dishes of ...whatever you want? Enjoy!
