A week of treating myself too much!

I've had a bad few days of eating!

I've been good since I started MFP about a month ago, with the odd day of going over my calorie limit, but this past week I've been terrible.

Last week, I left my job and had 2 different leaving party nights, where I ate & drank too much, then this week I have been on holiday in London, which meant eating out for every meal. I did do loads and loads of walking but still managed to go over 3 days out of 4.

I am back on the wagon today, but today I have a belated Valentine's lunch and a night out with friends tonight. I'm sure I can keep within my calorie limit though, by not eating dinner and drinking low calorie vodka drinks.

It's amazing how many calories are in drinks! I had a June Bug cocktail from TGI Friday during the week, and it was over 400 calories!

Sorry there isn't really a question here, it's more just me thinking aloud! :blushing:

me three!!! but it is not the bad week that kills your diet, it is the week after week of bad choices!! Just start now again as you mean to go on.
I never log on holidays and always eat what I want however do find that over time my choices have improved anyway and I certainly more active to the point that I now pack running trainers when I go away!!!!!! Totally unheard of for me until last year.

Not eating dinner is probably a bad idea. You will end up hungry on your night out which will mean the alcohol will have more effect than usual and you will end up down the kebab shop or McDonalds on the way home.

Seriously though, you have done the best you can in a difficult situation. Have dinner tonight (something filling), enjoy your night out, just don't go overboard, and you will be fine. A couple of days won't undo all your hard work.

    ^^ this.
  • Well I wasn't as well behaved last night as I planned to be! But I did manage to resist the chips & cheese on the way home :drinker:

You are all right I shouldn't worry too much about being on holiday and just get back on it afterwards

Keep in mind that you are conscious of all this and are not just eating mindlessly. You know it is happening and try to be good but have been in difficult circumstances with being on vacation, etc... At least you know you will have bo buckle down again soon and get back on track.

    Good luck!

I've been indulging more these days myself, so I feel you... just try to let the good ones outnumber the bad ones. At least you are mindful of it!

It happens and you’re aware of it which is good for you. I agree with those that say, it’s the week after week of bad choices that
halts your wellness goals. Persistence is key. Hop back on to the good choices & things will change around for you.
