Intermittent Fasting?

Hey guys, anyone out there actively doing IF, specifically the 5:2 diet? I'm really curious if anyone is having any success with this and how it's going for them. I am thinking of trying it, despite the notion that eating below 1k cals a day is baaaaad baaaad baaad. Wondering if the 2 days of low cals could jump start weight loss or just slow it to a halt [based on 'starvation mode'].

    Are you going to fast 2 days a week for the rest of your life?

    YES: Go for it. Fasting is miserable but if you're up for it, have at it.
    NO: You will gain whatever you lost the second you return to a normal way of eating. It's not the way to lose weight.

    Lasting weight loss demands lasting changes to the way we eat and move. Good luck.
