Wine/cheese night question

Okay, so I had a huge burn today, and had a very late lunch (5 PM). Now I'm about to head to a wine/cheese/dessert event.
The question is, I have a huge amount of cals left over (I did have a bad binge last night, hence the big burn today), but I'm not hungry for dinner before the event. Is it okay to basically substitute my dinner with the wine/cheese/desserts?
Also anyone have any wine/cheese suggestions?

If it is not something you do on a regular basis, I can't see the harm in doing it this once.0

It's all calories....I'd be more worried about your week with last night's binge.0

You can eat wine and cheese and still be under your calories for the day that part is fine. However, I know for me after I have a couple glasses of wine food starts flying into my mouth and an incredible rate as does more wine, ect. Keep your portions in check and I don't see a problem with it.0

The thing is, I'm NOT worried about fitting it into my macros and cal limit. I'm WAY UNDER, but not hungry before the event. Idk, maybe I'll just decide to eat after...0

Wine and cheese can be a decent meal. Grab some of the fruit and veggie garnishes and you're good to go!0

Calories exist on wine and cheese nights? I've been doin' it wrong.....0

If you're not hungry, not eating beforehand is fine. Just make sure you eat some of the cheese/snacks before starting on the wine so it doesn't hit you quicker than normal. Enjoy!0

My initial reaction to the title 'wine/cheese night' was for you to run in and scarf it alllllll...
After careful consideration my opinion has not changed one iota.

I'd stick to the dryer wines, but I have one of these every so often. Actually, I may drink my calories in wine a little too often. Have fun!
Edit: Dry wine because keto. All the cheese I can eat.0 -
YES!!! Img I hope I'm not too late. I hope no one talked you out of it. Eat all the cheese and wine you want it's a complete meal of protein, carbs, grapes and yumminess. Have some blue or Stilton for me!0

I did a good job everyone, it ended up working out great!
Lots of cheese, crackers, wine, hummus, and cookies, so I had a nice cal count to rack up.
Was delicious!0 -
Coming in late, but actually, a snack plate is my favorite kind of dinner!0

Go for it! I just ate sausage, cheese, and rosemary triscuits last night for my dinner, I don't see a problem at all.0
