Greenling/local food delivery service?

Has anyone used a product like greenling? They have been pumping out commercials on the radio like crazy.
They are a food delivery service that delivers groceries to your house. All products are either local (produce, meats, dairy), organic, or vegan.
We don't have any awesome farmers markets as I live in a large urban type city.
Has anyone ever used this service or type of service? Their prices look very comparable to normal grocery stores and if I can help out local farmers then why not give it a try?
I've found most produce at the big name stores (namely HEB) have very little organic options. Additionally they only carry the "best looking" items. For example, they have huge red shiny strawberries; who just happen to be white not red throughout and bitter. Or apples that look fantastic that are either bland or ridiculously waxy.
If you have used these types of services are there certain items you would recommend using this type of service for moreso than others?
Thoughts appreciated!
Inb4- vegan, organic, local makes no difference... That's fine. It may also be more convenient than murdering someone for that last box of pop tarts at krogers!

I am not familiar with Greenling but I use a company local to me called Terra Organics. Signing up for their service was one of the best things I have done. I always have fresh local produce and it has allowed me to add stuff to my meals that I wasn't always doing before. Plus, they now deliver meat from local farms as well which is very nice0

I haven't used that specific service, but I have used the local one for me called SPUD (Sustainable Produce Urban Delivery) that is the exact same premise. I love it and use it once a month usually. I can't speak for that service, but mine, they sent me a coupon code to use on my first several orders that really helped when I told them that I did not know what to expect. Also earn points towards free groceries for every so many dollars spent and for referring people. That may be an option for you, but they also likely offer a money back guarantee if you're not happy, mine does.
Sorry, it's not much help.0 -
Wow. Thanks guys! now do y'all use it for all kinds of stuff, or mostly produce/meat? I guess each city probably has their own company that's similar.... But this one has all kinds of stuff. Babaghanoush, breads, meats, jam and pickled items, baked protein bars, etc.
I'm trying to keep myself from dropping $300.00 on groceries right now! XD0 -
Well, the one I use only does produce and meat, which is just grassfed beef. I have another service which delivers milk, eggs, cottage cheese from local producers but they also offer other stuff. I was worried about it being too expensive, but I am finding it is actually saving me money and the convenience of it, is worth it0

The one I use, offers everything and they'realways adding more thing. I use itmostly for meat, dairy and pantry items I can't get elsewhere or are cheaper through them.
I suggest taking a list of your most commonly used things and comparison shop, that's what I did, which also made it nice for when I happen to see those things on sale, I instantly know if it's a deal worth it to me or not.0
