Hoping for some words of encouragement. As a lot of people know, I eat on average 5-6 days out of the week anywhere between 500-700 calories a day well lately been eating 700-900 calories a day aka trying to eat more.
YESTERDAY was my binge day so I ate a fish dinner include some fries, coleslaw, nachos, garlic bread, diet soda, etc. It was really good!
Today I ate 1052 calories and you can see in my diary what I ate.
WHY DO I FEEL FAT NOW! UGH THIS IS RIDICULOUS AND I FEEL SO FREAKING DOWN!

Ok I know you may not want to hear this, but eating such a small amount so often is really not good for you. You should be eating like you did today, if not more, every single day. I know it seems scary and crazy, but eating more is actually in losing weight. Not insane amounts of course, but eating a healthy and well balanced diet of the amount of calories your body needs to function normally throughout the day is important. I know that you feel like you overate and therefore feel fat but don't. Your body needs food! Don't deprive it.0

hey guys, As stated by the original poster, it is important to eat what the body needs each day. At least over the long term. I was typically eating in excess of 3,500 calories a day, and was totally inactive. Not hard to imagine once you become morbidly obese and have no employment or motivation to move around. But having said I have recently cut back on the amount I have been eating and have probably cut my calorie intake by at least half. Given how many calories I was consuming on average, on a daily basis, I am still consuming a reasonable amount. certainly enough to sustain my bodies needs. I was losing a great deal at first, but have slowed down a lot. partly because my body being so accustomed to eating so many more calories went in to survival mode. Although over 1700 calories a day is plenty to maintain a relaitively sedentary lifestyle. My body interpreted the massive reduction in caloric intake as a possible starvation scenario and most likely went in to "preservation" mode. Not knowing how long this lack of access to calories was going to last. It has just strated to adjust to the reduced calorie intake and now knows that it is safe from starvation and is getting enough calories to survive. So it is imnportant to give your body enough calories to get by but also allow you to slowly lose weight with a little exericse. hope that makes sense to people.0

I am going to be straight with you. Your diet is not sustainable.0 -
How tall are you? Are you talking net calories, or are you really eating only 900 calories total every day? Are you exercising on top of that?
You can up your calorie intake - don't feel guilty! Know that you are fueling your body to give it the energy to burn fat and build muscle. No need to be hungry OR guilty, eating is healthy. I know it's hard to change your thinking about that, but you can lose weight and really enjoy food, too.
You will probably have a mental block against upping so far that you are eating your daily calories burned minus 20% (the recommended amount to keep your existing muscles and lose at a steady, sustainable pace), but build up to that. Here's a great calculator to let you know how many calories your body needs just to keep you going:

You are only eating dinner and nothing but coffee all day every day except I think 1 day. I think you should see a professional for help to be honest if you can't get it up to at the very least 1200. You didn't log your cheat, how many calories was that?0

Thanks hun, I'm around 5 ft 3. I think I'm gonna have to go to the doc this week, it's just getting too hard to fit all those calories in when honestly I'M NOT HUNGRY even with lower coffee intake.0

Definitely talk to your doc. I don't think you are getting enough calories to maintain normal body function at this time. Our bodies are miraculously adaptive so if you are just drinking coffee all day then eating in the evening, your body will stop sending hunger signals until it knows its got a chance of getting food. You may need to retrain it, staring with small meals every few hours until it gets used to getting nutrients throughout the day.0 -
Don't worry girl! You can do it just slowly increase your intake each day so it wont give you a breakdown!0
