The other day I did my workout to Hot Blooded by Foreigner on repeat. It was the greatest playlist, and likely the greatest moment, of my life.

I love working out to rock music from the 70s and 80s. Some 90s but very little. I also have some Green Day and am considering some metallica and bare naked ladies (basically need to raid my boyfriend's music again).

    Today, I had

No one Knows - Queens of the Stone Age
Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
One Way Or Another - Blondie
54-46 Was My Number - Toots and the Maytals
    Baba O'Reilly - The Who
    Plug In Baby - Muse
    Mr Blue Sky - ELO

and a bunch of other stuff I'm too tired to remember.

Must have worked - I flew through the rowing where two sessions ago, I wasn't able to undo to foot straps without help. And I did a full weights workout. AND 15 minutes on the recumbent bike. AND I still managed to do 45 minutes of swimming afterwards.

I may keel over later, but the music certainly got more out of me in the meantime.

When I do water aerobics I have one MP3 player chock-full of B52s old hits from the first two albums.

    Check them out on Youtube.

I also love water-dancing to the macarana, and to can can by Bad Manners

Old School Hip Hop and Rap. Reminds me of being a teen again...........HipHop.gif
  • Muse - "Supremacy"
Lots of Foo Fighters, especially "Walk" and "Rope" off their latest album

Metric is an excellent band, the singer is gorgeous and I picture her amazing legs when I am working out. From them I like "Help I'm Alive" "Breathing Underwater" "Sick Muse" and "Stadium Love".

Dead Sara is also really good. She has a very sultry voice and can really rock it out. I love "Weatherman", "Lemon Scent" and "Monumental Holiday".

Matt & Kim are really upbeat. "Daylight", "Cameras", and "Let's Go".

I like dance/techno/pop/hip-hop when I work out! I even magically build a tolerance for songs I can't effing stand in real life. But at the gym, you gotta do what you gotta do. :) Some of my current and ongoing favorites are...

    Ti Sento -- Scooter
Lessons In Love -- Kaskade feat. Neon Trees
    Die Young -- Kesha
    Starships -- Nicki Minaj
    Lights -- Ellie Goulding
You've Got the Love -- Florence and the Machines
Cosmic Love -- Florence and the Machines
    Raise Your Glass -- Pink

    David Guetta.

Also second the Jpop suggestion--to an extent. Some of the newer stuff freaks me out, but I could listen to any one of Hamasaki Ayumi's remix CDs all the way through for an hour long run or whatever.

Also second whoever said Marina and the Diamonds. :D

    And Lady Gaga.
    & etc etc etc :D

My favourite running song is "good vibrations" by Marky mark and the funk bunch. I don't even know why. But it's awesome

My current favourite song to workout to is "fall into the sky" Zedd ft Ellie Goulding

I also love working out to
    Alexisonfire
    Skrillex
    Nero
    Morgan page
    David guetta
    Steve aoki
    Eminem
    LMFAO (older stuff)
    Chromeo
    Calvin Harris
  • Whatever the video I am watching is decent... Even power90s music was catchy....

While running I am counting footsteps and music is distracting... Solving programming problems in my head is awesome music as well...
