So, this is new.

Hi guys,

My name is Ruby and this is my first time trying out anything like this. I've never really struggled with my weight. I mean, sure I've been a little soft in the middle, but I've never been obviously overweight. I eat generally well and have started exercising pretty regularly. I seem like I'm on the right track, but lately that's been getting harder.

I quit smoking three months ago and quit drinking (mostly) in the last year and I've begun noticing that I'm starting to use food like I used to use cigarettes and alcohol (and various other substances growing up). Like anyone I've had times where I found comfort in a pint of ice cream, but it's becoming a lot more frequent and a lot more out of control lately.

I'm hoping this community can help me get a handle on my emotional eating, really hone in on healthy lifestyle choices, and finally take off the 20 or so pounds I've been packing around since high school. I'm equal parts terrified and excited to be here and I'm choosing to take that as a good sign.
