How did YOU go from fat to thin/fit? How do I lose 24 lbs?

I need to lose 24 pounds in three months. I don't think it's unrealistic at all. But how do I do it? How did you lose weight?

Safely, they say you could expect to lose 1lb per week. So it's certainly possible. You probably know that to lose weight, you must use up more calories than you take in but it's not all diet. It's exercise too. Talk to your doctor first about starting a diet and exercise routine, but you can do this for sure.
I lost my weight my cutting out added sugars, all my sugar comes from my food. No soda pop either, just water, tea or black coffee. More whole grain, more vegetables and lean cuts of meat. More fish and chicken. No more cakes or cookies or fried food. I've lost over 30 lbs to date.

The only magic formula is diet and exercise. It's a little more than simple math, but it's calories in versus calories out. Be aware of your food choices - choose nutrient packed foods - no "empty" calories, try to eat at home as much as possible. As for exercise, try cardio at least 3x per week for at least 30 minutes. If you can't do that at first, do as much as you can, and set a goal to add 3-5 minutes each session as you improve.
Don't over train, and don't cut your calories too low. It's tempting and easy to do, but it will hurt you in the long run.

It is definitely possible with a combination of food and exercise. I lost 18 lbs in the first 6 weeks, and have been slowly losing a pound or two. I did a structured DVD workout and a meal replacement healthy sake. You can do it!0
