tara from Ireland, aprox 42lb's to loose

Hi Guys,

Just discovered MFP in the last couple of weeks and have been logging my food and exercise. I'm 30 yrs old and have been overweight for the last ten years or so. Because of my weight I've basically stopped going out socialising, I avoid going to family occasions as much as I can, I've distanced myself from my old friends. I'm also dissapointed that I was overweight when I was geting married, and I still havent picked out photos for my wedding album because I'm not hppy to do so. I've discovered I'm a real comfort eater, eat when I'm happy, when I'm sad etc.

Anyway enough is enough and I want to turn my life around and start living the years of my life that I didnt live (if that makes sense)

Just one question, when I go over my calories for one day, does that mean I wont loose weight that week, or should I be ok as long as I stay on track for the rest of the week?

    Welcome Tara and good luck...I feel your pain here I to am much the same..I stress eat and use food for confort...So hang in there. You can do this..I also avoided family fuctions and lost most of not all my friends due to my weight problem.
