I was told the gym would be empty by February 15.
my gym is still crowded as heck and while I don't care who does what on the machines or how long they take or anything else of that matter I'm just sick of having to park a block and a half away because both the main and overflow parking lot crowded.
I could use the extra exercise but when it's below 20 degrees like it is today I don't care

I noticed the same thing. All these men taking the squat racks.
I thought most people would have given up on their New Years
resolution by now. Haha.0 -
Good on em for not giving up! maybe this is the year more people keep their resolutions and make this year their year.
and god forbid you have to WALK into a gym, LOLOLOLOL0 -
Timing makes a bog difference. I try to go an hour or two before the gym closes, and it is usually pretty empty. When I go in on weekend mornings, however, all of the cardio and a number of the free weight stations are occupied. I had to change my warmup last time because there wasn't a single cardio machine open in the entire place.0

I go to a very small gym and while I don't mind extra people around, I do mind having to wait around for equipment to free up. Yesterday I had to share a pair of dumbbells with a big beefy frenchman and alternate our rests which was kind of funny but no good if you want to superset or take the shortest rests.0

there's always a rack open at 5 a.m.:laugh:0

I've been thinking of joining the Anytime Fitness near here. It's open 24/7. Pretty sure there would be times where you would be the only one there.0

It'll clear out after spring break. Everyone is trying to get their bodies beach ready!!0

I mean heaven forbid people keep up with it...
I find people who work out, but complain about walking a block a joke.0 -
I think mine has actually gotten more crowded!0

During January I could still find a parking place. Now I can't. On a Saturday afternoon. WTF, I don't understand.
...But good for them for being there.0 -

I find people on message boards flex muscles they'd never flex offline.
The OP said the weather was 20 below. I think she has a right to be cold. I walk several miles a day, but even I dropped an f bomb walking to my car after grocery shopping this am.0 -

February 15 is probably not the best day to use as a measure. I noticed a lot more people at the gym that day, and I assume it's because people are working off whatever they ate on Valentine's Day. I know I was.0

got that right....and I swam in the pool..... it made that 20 degrees feel like 20 below zero... thanks for understandingFebruary 15 is probably not the best day to use as a measure. I figured out later that today is a holiday....the after work crowd all decided to go to the gym earlier today.....0
