Hello everyone! I'm new to here, recommended by my friend iamararity, and daughter of toietmoi. I've been overweight for a little over 10 years now, and enough is enough. I've reached my all-time high about a month ago when I weighed 185 lbs at 5 ft 4 and 22 years old. Enough is enough!
Relatively new to dieting, so I tried the liquid diet. I got sick not even a week into it, although I had lost 10 lbs. I gained 5 lbs of it back, I've been eating healthy however! Now I'm counting calories and trying to break my fitness rut....tired of sitting on my *kitten* not doing anything all day! I start school in October, which is about 3 miles away from where I live. By then, I would like to have enough stamina and motivation to be able to walk to school! (I don't have a choice anyways, the buses stop running at 8 pm and my classes will finish at 10:30 pm). I love trying new things and I hate routine, so I bought a yoga dvd, a dance dvd and a belly dancing dvd. I'm looking for a martial arts dvd to buy also, since I want to know the basics to defend myself, also to build discipline.
I am vegetarian so diets can be tricky with me as well. I am on a certain medication that makes you hungrier and makes you gain weight, plus I'm starting the pill soon, which also makes you gain weight without even trying! So here I am, testing the waters on pretty much everything to see what works for me!
