should you consume more calories daily as you burn them?

I noticed that when I add my exercise my fitness pal will add on calories to my day for consumption? Does anyone know what is the healthiest approach: consuming the calories added on, not consuming them, or consuming some of them. Help please:)

you are supposed to consume them0

MFP has your daily deficit already built in, so your exercise calories are a bonus for you to eat.0

You eat them. The calorie amount MFP has given you is net calories, so food eaten - exercise = net.0

Thank you! I have been sticking to that but wasn't sure and want to stay on track and do things right so I can get in better shape:)0

Unless you do the TDEE method where the exercise is already built in the calories. then you do not eat your exercise calories.0

I lost 81 lbs in less than 6 months, and I never ate back my exercise calories. When I did, I didn't lose weight. I stuck to 1200 calories per day, no matter what.0

Is there a way to set up the mfp account so that it follows the tdee method? Reading that post in that link suggested there was a way, but I couldn't figure it out.0
