Exercise & Cellulite

I have been doing Insanity for almost a month now, but I have noticed that my cellulite has gotten worse. I thought it may have been just me, but a few others who have been doing it too, have said exactly the same thing.

Does anyone know why this is happening and if it will reduce again?

Where is it? I found that time and building lots of new muscle in the region helped reduce the look of cellulite... and I had A LOT of it on my calves, knees, thighs, hips and lower glute region.

Mainly on my thighs and very bottom of my *kitten*, but it has certainly gotten worse and has even appeared a tony bit on my stomach.

Is it the muscle getting bigger and pushing it against the skin or something?

For me? Yes. I think it is. And, like, stronger/bigger quads pulling the skin tighter to make the skin in the midline and other areas seem less flabby. I had cellulite on my KNEES, for pete's sake

Ok, so do you think it's likely it will reduce again?

Are you gaining muscle? I noticed mine seems to look MUCH reduced after giving it time AND gaining muscle mass in the area. Just my experience.

Try massage and scrubbing with instant coffee really helps the appearance but its messy.
  • The nasty looking loose skin is good. It means good things are happening.:glasses: Fat is breaking down, skin is readjusting. The more you're loosing the more gross it looks. But as your skin tightens and your fat loss becomes more significant it will go away. I always get excited when the lumps and bumps start getting bad. It lets me know my labor is not in vain. Granted, it's not attractive, but keep going.....it gets better.

That is your skin adjusting to its new size. Just keep going!

No one ever said the process was pretty.
