Need recipes for a "spa night"

I have a bunch of women coming over for a facial and foot spa night Thursday and I want to offer some healthy appetizers/snacks that have a spa "feel". Any ideas? I saw a recipe for cheesecake filled strawberries, but that's all I have so far.

    I like cucumber sandwiches (small pieces of rye bread, spread with a mixture of dill weed, light sour cream, plain greek yogurt, topped with a cucumber slice, salted and peppered).

    Serve baby bell wedges with yummy low cal crackers and grapes.

    Chocolate dipped strawberries.

    Ricotta stuffed grape tomatoes.

    Crab stuffed mushrooms.

    You can't go wrong with mixed nuts.

    cucumber sandwiches

    Whole wheat bread (crusts removed)
    Low fat or fat free cream cheese
    Juice of 1-2 lemon
    Zest of 1/2 lemon
    Fresh thinly sliced cucumber
    Fresh dill

    Remove crust from bread
    Cream together the cream cheese and lemon and zest until easily spreadable (use milk if needed to thin it). Spread over the bread
    Slice bread into quarters (little points/triangles)
    Arrange thinly sliced cucumber over the small sandwiches.

    Serve open face with a little fresh dill for garnish.

    Low fat blue cheese (AMAZING), goat cheese or Boursin cheese, sharp cheddar, muenster, brie

    Whole grain crackers

    is it a mary kay party? cause i'm a mary kay lady and they do those all the time. guessing avon and the rest do as well. usually we like you to keep it simple as this lets the guests pay attention to the products and with facials and foot stuff going on it may get a little hectic if the foods take too much time or attention and that cuts into your ability to earn the most free products if that's your intention in hosting the event.

    the only advice I'd give if that's the case is keep it light during the event, with a filling meal as a parting favor if you really feel you are pulling people away from their dinner hour. i once did school lunches for a birthday "party favor" for a kid's 5th birthday in brown bags with a simple sandwich/apple/and paper fortune teller because i knew people were driving far and the event had to be shortened for everyones commute time so only activities & b-day cake could take place during the party. for a "spa night" theme you could do a spa "wrap" sandwich with cucumber and cream cheese maybe a deli meat if you want in a cool green wrap tortilla and then some crunchy veggie sides all in a cuter printed version of the paper sack (michaels) "to go" for after the pampering. and a bottle of fancy something like flavored pelligrino, or sofia champagne in a can (google it) even like a naked juice or something would be cool healthy and satisfying.

    that being said I see no reason you could not satisfy any starving person on the spot with simple grabby finger foods just like the spas have. Dried fruits tray, bowls of nuts, fresh whole fruit tower, tea service, water with sliced cucumbers and vamonos back to the pampering.

    in our thing, we tell people only "light refreshments" are really necessary (crackers & cheese really OR cookies & fruit, like real light) cause let's be honest the economy is still bad. but if you are one of those hostesses who likes to be generous these are some ways you can still do that. good luck it sounds like fun.:flowerforyou:

    - Skinnified Chocolate Fondue with fruit kebab dippers and mini marshmallows. Use whichever fruit you like (though would work very well with banana chunks, strawberries, pineapple and destoned cherries):

    Something I saw on the internet the other day that looked amazing was rainbow fruit skewers. Get a load of different coloured fruits (watermelon, strawberries, orange, pineapple, pear, blueberries etc etc) and then make fruit skewer kebabs. So each skewer has about 7 different fruits in the same order - they look so colourful and are obviously very healthy, light and refreshing for a spa night. Pick the most colourful fruits for the brightest display!

    You could also do lettuce wraps - so you fill a leaf of gem lettuce with chicken/avocado/turkey or something like that.

    Bits of celery cut up and filled with cream cheese or a filling of your choice.

    You could get really creative and do shots of Gazpacho - I don't know how much time/effort you want to put into this!

    Make your own fruit cocktails maybe? Or just put some water with lemon and lime in the fridge so you have really refreshing drinks.

    Fruit skewers are a fab ideas.....Or meringes with blueberries and strawberries on top

    Hummus with carrots, celery, cucumber etc

    Mini little wraps with chicken/pesto or any fillings you like etc

    Small smoked salmon canapes

    Boiled eggs with the middle cut out and prawn with seafood sauce in them, sprinkled with paprika

    Make a big bowl of pimms, with lots of fruit

    Vodka jelly shots if they want to have a drink

    Have fun on your spa night..............!!!

    Chocolate fruit dip......light cool whip with hot cocoa powder stirred in. Let sit for a few hours before serving so the sugar in the cocoa dissolves and it isn't "grainy". Pink fruit dip (8 oz strawberry cream cheese blended with 1 jar marshmallow fluff, refrigerate one hour) Serve with fruit on a nice tray, or fruit skewers.

    Fruit pizza! http://www.kelloggs.com/en_US/fruit-pizza.html A serving size in 1/12th of a pizza, but the cream cheese mix always goes way further. So you could multiply the crust by 1.5 and push into the bottom of muffin tins to cook, then top with the cream cheese and fruit. Or make a whole fruit pizza.

    I'd also consider making hummus and serving with pita chips or whole wheat crackers. Be sure to let sit for a few hours, and don't taste or season it extra before the flavors have time to develop. I've ended up with some mighty spicy dip before.

    I love the idea of serving hummus, guacamole, and salsa with chips or pita slices.

    What about a spa salad to go along with all the other yummies?

    -Spring mix salad
    -crumbled goat cheese
    -chopped pecans
    -chopped sundried tomatoes
    -sliced strawberries

    Homemade balsamic dressing: (I use the pomegranate balsamic vinegar and adjusted vinegar to oil ratio is 50/50.)

    I'd do a fresh veggie tray with cut up sweet peppers, sugar snap peas, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, etc
    a tray of fancy cheeses like goat and brie and blue
    maybe a pate plate

    anything that goes with wine. There will be wine, right???
