Starting Insanity again, need some tips and advice

I did about 3 weeks of Insanity in November, and then things got a bit busy with Thanksgiving, finals, and Christmas. But this semester I have no excuses not to exercise, I have a better schedule and lighter course load. I would really like some tips on how to properly complete this program, mostly nutrition. I know that I need to eat a bit more, right now I'm using Lose It and normally average around 1300 calories a day. I would like to eat more but with no job, I have to live off of my savings.
I've always been a bit bigger, even though I've played soccer most of my life and don't play videogames. Even in highschool when I practiced soccer for at least 2 hours a day my weight has never really changed. I eat out maybe once a month, and even then I try to eat sensibly and end up taking leftovers home. I know that I have a good 30 lb of fat that I need to lose, and would like to lose at least half of it by my June birthday.
Please share some stories and help me, I'm just done with being this size and ready to change.

Well first you just have to get started. You said you did the first 3 weeks of insanity in November which is great. Some people don't even last a week. You have the tools in front of you.
When it comes down to nutrition, I don't know your stats but more than likely you're going to have to eat more... I would say at least 1500, but this is me not knowing your stats at all. Eating right doesn't have to be expensive at all. Again, I don't know what you're eating now but when it comes to proper nutrition, it's simple - protein, veggies and fruit.
How to properly complete the program? That all comes within you. You have to find the motivation. If you feel like giving up during a workout, just move. If you need to rest, then rest - just don't give up. It doesn't come easy. You have to be committed and dedicated.0 -
Thanks. I did the first workout yesterday and plan to do the next one tonight. As for my nutrition the main.problem I have is vegetables. I've tried different kinds of salad and vegetables but i can't manage to like most of them. But i am still looking for new ones, as of now i drink v8, which i enjoy.
I am ready to lose this weight. I had a body analysis a few weeks ago and i am ashamed at the results. I have all sorts of time on my hands and nothing to hold me back.0
