Not a Fan of the Lean Cuisine Salad Additions

I had a coupon for the Lean Cuisine Salad Additions and it was on sale so I thought I would try the cranberry chicken to give my salad a little more life. My opinion, in two short words, DON'T BOTHER. The flavor was not there and it made it difficult to finish my lunch. I will stick with grilling a chicken breast and throwing that in with the salad or just having a side salad with a wrap.

Thanks for the heads up! I kinda figured they wouldn't be great but was still curious.
  • I agree! The "chicken" was disgusting! I was trying to recreate my favorite Panera salad quickly at home, but this was an epic fail.
  • Thanks for the info! I actually was about to clip a coupon for these this morning! Glad you posted your opinion before I went and wasted my money. :D

Actually I have tried all of them and love them with leafy romaine lettuce, The only one I did not like was the cranberry chicken. The southwest and asian ones ROCK! Give it another try. You will love them!!!

I agree with IWTBFCIN3, they are good except the cranberry one, which is sickly-sweet, but the Bistro Salad is tart and bacony, and the SW has a spicy kick! I also have an Asian one in the freezer. I haven't tried yet, but I don't think I'll be disappointed.

I've only tried the bistro chicken one, and use about 1/2 the dressing packet and I enjoy it for a quick work lunch. I use a romaine and spinach mix, about 3 cups, and add a string cheese stick. I like it alot. It's not restaurant quality or gourmet, but for a quick meal, I think it is good tasting.

I just tried the Cranberry Chicken one. It was pretty much how you expect- making a fresh salad is a much better option. The chicken was squishy but the vinaigrette was surprisingly good.
