How long has it been since you have lost weight?
Unless it has been 4-6 weeks since you have seen a loss at all than it isn't a plateau.
You will not lose weight each and every week.. some weeks you will, some you will gain and some you will see no change.
To avoid a plateau you need to change things up along the way. Change how much you eat, change your exercise, increase the time or intensity, etc.
If you really are at a plateau than best thing to do would be to eat at maintance for a week or two and than drop down again.0 -
ok so maybe just stuck. i have increased myself w/ treadmill. i am not up to speed 3.4 with incl of 4-5/ and the 1st 5 mins on treadmill i run, at 4.1/ inclince of 1.00
im so frustrated0 -
How many weeks has it been since you lost weight. Water retention has a tendency to mask weight loss if you've just increased your workout, have a lot of sodium in your diet, or are nearing your TOM.0

whats TOM?
prob about 2 weeks.
i read every label - so i watch the sodium very careful0 -

TOM is time of the month. Women can gain as much as 10lbs around that time.
Don't fret over no loss in two weeks. Two weeks isn't a plateau... keep doing what worked but switch things up now and again.0 -
After fifty pounds, your body may finally be taking a moment to adjust. I am impressed that you just now got a little stuck.
Mostly, keep up the great work. If you really want to feel in control, try a totally different exercise. Weights would be ideal, but even just taking class or picking up a hula hoop. Anything to use new muscles after months of doing the same exercise.0 -
right now i cant do weights with arms anyway, i have torn ligaments in left hand...
TOM, i am so dumb,, i need a nap..
thanks for help.0 -
I'm at the same place. I lost 50 lbs, and I've been here since November. It sucks.0

The closer you get to your body's ideal size, the harder it will be to drop weight. AT this point, nutrition really is the most important, so it is very possible you aren't eating enough! Start adding slowly, only 100-200 calories a day for a week or 2 and see how that goes! Weights really will help you the most, but obviously that is out for awhile. Hope you feel better soon!0

Try some leg lifts w/weights maybe? And a change of diet for a couple weeks could set you back into motion. How much more do you have to go? I have complete faith you can do it.......you got this far through determination and hard work and you WILL finish the job!
CONGRATS on the 50lbs!!!!!0 -
i want to loose at least another 60-700

Your lower body muscles are the largest in your body, so really work though and it will burn fat all over your body. Very slow, very controlled squats and lunges will be great for you. Mix it up and find different ways to do them. Sumo squats, one leg squats and lunges. Youtube has a lot of good videos for that. It will give you the weight training without worrying about actually lifting0
