Net goal

Fairly new to MFP and I am a little confused on the Summary page for each day...what should my net be at the end of the day? Should I be aiming for it to be zero?

No, do not aim for 0. Aim for your net calories to be your daily goal.
So if your goal is 1500 which you eat, but you exercise and burn 300, your net is now 1200 so you need to eat 300 more calories to reach the proper net goal.
Having a net of 9 means you are leaving your body with nothing for it to run on.0 -
Ok so if my goal is 1280 calories and I burn off calories...I still want my net to be as close to the original goal as possible? So eat back my calories to get to that 1280 (net)...or stay at it if I don't burn any extra calories....think I got it...thanks...0
