Hi everyone. I have given myself a year to get rid of most of my weight (I know all is a long shot) but six months have gone by already and I have gained 4 instead of lost any. I want to be healthier and more active for my 6month old (well she's five and a half months) as well as not feel embarrassed when I meet my teen daughters friends. I want to be able to DO things with my children instead of shying away from activities I know I'd love to do!! I'm tired of always "starting" new diets or "lifestyle changes" and never finishing. I have learned a lot throughout the years but I think I've figured that for me, I really need support and encouragement! I have around 150 pounds to lose.
Okay, that's my introduction. lol Hope to "meet" you soon!

add me, please! I am trying to lose almost 70 lbs. Not nearly as much as you, but my motivations are similar. I gained a LOT of weight after having 3 kids in 5 years. I was 140 +/- in school, and have now topped out at just over 220. Yuck! I also have asthma and depression that are worsened by my weight gain. I am desperately trying to lose weight so I can play more with my kids (5,4,1). I am home full-time, which makes it really hard for me to socialize and get support from others. I am VERY energetic and motivated, though, and have lost 24lbs so far! I am on here daily, log foods daily, and actively try to moderate my diet (I have issues with over-eating), so have found lots of ways to cut calories without being unhealthy.0

Hello! Feel free to add me. They best advice I can give is to start out slow. I started at 1800 calories a day and stayed there for a while until I got used to eating that amount. I would have jumped ship if I would have went straight for the 1600 I'm at now, and I'm losing a pound a week since I decreased my intake. We can do this!0
