My wife couldn't either when she first started training. Start with an empty bar bench press (it weighs 45 lbs.) and go up from there until the weight challenges you for 3-5 reps. If you don't have access to any form of weights, try incline push ups until your strength improves to where you can do them flat on the floor.0

Start on the wall and work your way down till you can do them on the floor. Anyone can do a wall push-up. (I kinda like doing mine on the basement stairs. I work my way down a step every time I feel a little bit stronger lol)0

Try push-ups against a wall. Easier than regular push-ups but still work your arms. I have bad wrists so this is my compromise.0

What I've been doing is plank and pushup exercises. All kinds, all fun (if you like pain.) I can't do regular pushups so I do the girl version of pushups.0

Knee push ups, chair dips, grab some dumbbells.. lift heavy..
I couldn't do push ups either and now I am close to doing full push ups.. you can do it.0
