Lots of people on here can name dozens of great workout routines. Need to know more about your situation first. Can you provide more details?0

If you enjoy dancing, you could try a Zumba class. If you do not, you can find out about Yoga and other sorts of classes in your area.
However, if you do not have time to go out, you can try Insanity or 30 Day Shred at home. (Google these!). I have seen good results from these! I have also previously used YouTube for yoga work outs to do at home :flowerforyou:0 -
Hiya
Do you genuinely not know why you gained weight? If the answer is honestly yes you might need a medical as well. Rule out an underlying condition, then you know what you're working with x
If it's no, then you're in the right place0 -

perhaps its a question of recalculating how much you eat, and in what quantities. You might be better grazing between meals and then having decent meals within a healthy calorie limit - seems like maybe you're not getting fuelled enough from your food, perhaps.0

Do you think you sometimes finish off the children's food when they haven't eaten it? That has made so many of my friends put on weight!
Anyway, you wanted something that could fit around looking after the children and a busy lifestyle without too much calorie counting.
What worked for me was a meal planner I found online, you did have to do a bit of measuring food, but the plan did a lot of it for you, and it wasn't anything outlandish that would be difficult to do - it was more about planning what you were eating and keeping the portions sizes small. It allowed snacks and had recipe ideas. At the time I had an ankle injury and couldn't exercise, once I started exercising I managed my own food and moved away from the planner, but it really helped me to see what sort of portion sizes I should be having. I still use some of the recipes too. If you search for Feeling Fat Festive 12 week countdown diet it should come up.
After the first few weeks on the plan I did start recording calories, as I wasn't sticking to it rigidly and started adding in my own things that were the same amount of calories as those on the plan - afterall you need to be able to make the change work as there's no point in going back to the way you used to eat that made you put on the lbs once you've got back to your target weight. It was a good starting point for me, as like you I had never had a weight problems before and didn't have a clue where to start to try and lose the weight! I didn't even find this site until I'd lost most of it!0 -
i understand that you are busy - i have 5 kids, work part time, workout 1-2hrs 6 times a week, and log my food. you have to make time for you. if your putting on weight its simple - you are eating more then you are burning. you cant out train a bad diet. i was amazed when i first started weighing and measuring food - i was so wrong about what a serving was. ive been where you are now and i know you will find your way out. your have to believe in you. you have to love you. you have to make time for you. in turn, you will be a better mother, grandmother and partner. if you want some ideas on food or exercise, feel free to add me. best of luck0
