Stronglifts halted wait loss

Hi,

I've been doing the stronglifts 5x5 (loving it btw) strength training program for the last 3 weeks and since starting I've not lost any more weight (staying the same). I do think Ive maybe lost inches/bodyfat though as my clothes etc are looser and I can feel a difference. I'm eating 2000 calories every day and have been wondering if I should stick with the 2k daily limit or maybe add on another 100/200. Ive also been thinking about get back on the bike cycling to work a day or two a week on my lifting off days. To be honest, I wouldn't be disappointed to stay the same weight as long as I was losing/replacing body fat with muscle

Anyone doing or done anything similar care to share their thoughts?

many thanks

it slowed down my weightloss initially, but I lost MAJOR inches and body fat so there was no room for complaining from me.... I wouldnt change a thing, eventually you will see loss on the scale as well...

Im down 8 pounds for the month so far and due to injury only worked out one day last week....

That is the ultimate goal of every guy- replace fat with muscle. However, that is also the hardest to accomplish. I can do it for short periods with strict diet control. I know no one that can do this long term (without HGH). The scale is the worst bench mark. I use measuring tape, calipers, mirror and strength gains. If I lose too much muscle during cutting I adjust diet. Good luck.

    this.
keep lifting. weight might not change a lot at first, but your measurements will, and you'll look a lot better.

I'm a 135 pound 40 year old woman, and I needed more than 2000 while doing stronglifts.

I wasn't losing a lot of pounds (it actually went up a few pounds), but my body fat was getting lower than I was comfortable with, so I kept upping my calories.
