Thanks! I wish it was flat, but it's not. I think it's the way I'm standing. After being overweight for 20 years and having twins 6 years ago, my belly will never be totally flat! Oh well, I'm trying!0 -
Bump for later. Great job everyone!0

Thank you everyone for sharing! You all look amazing! I'm inspired and have hope that I too can kick the pooch to the curb!0

Just want to say congrats to the ones that have lost theirs and GREAT job to the ones that are in the during stages. It's a lot of hard work for the females to lose the stomach. Heres my during photos right now. The one on the left was in Oct2012, not sure of my weight (I started in May2012 just never took a before bare stomach pic) and the one on the right is Feb2013. I lost a little over 5 inches off my stomach area during those months.
Wow wow ! What a huge difference. Well done.
Thank you0 -
I have the same pouch ..and I haven't had kids !
It's just that the fat likes to go there ..lower belly .
Thank you for posting !I'm gonna be brave and post mine:0 -

I have been reading a lot about heavy lifting, but have no idea on how/where to start. Any advice? I currently do low-weight high-reps for my upper body, around 3x a week. But it's still pretty weak, and I can't do anything more than 5 pounds.
I currently do cardio 3-4x a week, and am about to start doing the 30 day shred, and am on 1200 cals a day. I am 5'7", and fluctuate between 133-135 pounds. I'd like to be around 125 to 130, but the weight doesn't matter to me. I want to lose excess fat around my belly, hips, thighs and butt. I have a gym membership so I have access to all the resources. But I also have a slipdisc in my lower back that I don't want to aggravate. Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks0 -
I don't have a pooch...
I have this awesomely sexy overhang instead..

Great work! All of you. I'm a newbie to MFP and Lower belly fat and flabby arms are the zones I'm hoping to loose as my weight loss progress. This post gave me hope that loosing in the belly is possible.

Glahlstedt, you're on your way doll and it looks like we got the same amount of weight to shed before goal. Let's do this!
Next month a co-worker and I are doing a four/week of home cooked lunch. At the end of the month we must submit 16 pictures (dated) of lunch prepared at home.
Let me know if you or anyone for that matter would like to join in.
I'm so excited!
Oops, I should have quoted you. :-)0 -
Man it blows my mind how the last 10 pounds makes SUCH a difference in how we look! I'm working my *kitten* off trying to kill my last 10 and it is by FAR the hardest to lose. I've been heeding advice others have given here about lots of strength training. It seems to be working, I'm slowly getting there.0

I just was really committed to working out 5 days a week, heavy lifting with cardio and most important is diet! I ate 5 small meals a day around 300 calories per meal! I still have about 10-15 lbs to go though so I'm still working hard!0 -
My SW 198lb/89.9kg and during at 62kg/136lb (about 4kg/9lb ago):
And a week ago somewhere between 129lb and 130lb or about 58.5kg/59kg:
And the side during at 136lb/62kg.... (I'm 128lb now and it's even better!):
I'm 5'4" and a mummy and I've been fat since I was 7 or 8 - so there's hope for everyone!!
This made me happy! Good for you!0 -
Thank you so much for posting your pics ladies. I thought after carrying 5 big babies I could never get rid of my belly but you've given me inspiration and motivation to try. Not sure how trim I could get as I have a lot of stretch marks but I'm going to give it a good go!
I have a ton of stretch marks too (& I've only had 2 kids both just shy of 9 pounds), but they will fade and become less noticeable as you lose the weight. Keep up the hard work and you will get there! I've still got a a little pooch when I sit, but it is skin/stretch marks instead of the flab it used to be.
Here's a close up before & this is a "good" picture of my stretch marks as I was 9 months pregnant with my second and stretched to the max, they looked so much worse after I gave birth dark red and raw . The second pic is a close up of my stomach area from 6 weeks ago (& 8 lbs heavier than now), but it shows the extra skin.
wow I want to get mine like yours any tricks or creams along with diet and excercise??0
