not eating your feelings

I just had to confront someone at work and deal which is a good thing. It triggered some emotions in me and I had a good cry and now feel better. No wonder we had rather eat than deal. I am sure it was a good thing but hard to do. Did any of ya eat your feelings in the past rather than deal, I guess this is emotional eating.

Yes! today was a day like that. ate junk for comfort and went over my limits a bit but tomorrow is another day and hopefully it will be better!0

Good for you. Far better to confront what's eating you than the other way around.0

I've never been an emotional eater. I do have a bad habit of doing too much boredom eating. I found that by telling myself I can only eat certain times of the day, I have completely eliminated that habit. I guess that's one of my NSVs.0

Oh good job handling that! I'm having a hard time with this "emotional eating" lately! Working on getting it under control too0

I nipped my binge eating right in the butt! I knew what the problem was......so I got rid of it....the binge eating stopped! Unfortunately, someone's feeling were hurt when i had to give him the boot haha. Life is too precious to just eat it away. Figure out what triggers you and solve the problem!0

Yeah....I needed to rid all of the toxins out of my life lol. :P0 -
Great job! Confrontation is SO hard!
I've been reading Beck Diet Solution, and one thing stuck out for me. She says if you eat for comfort when you are upset about something, when you are done eating your problem will still be there, only now you will be upset about that AND about having eaten too much. Better to deal with one problem than two!0
