Is it harder to lose weight after having kids? Before I got pregnant it was so easy for me to lose weight! Now? Its been a struggle. I understand the whole your body changes through pregnancy/post partum, I know I'll never look like I did before, and I accept that. Its been almost a year since I had my daughter. Anyone else have an issue with this or have any ideas to help? Btw I workout 5xs a week and eat over 1300 calories a day, I've lost only 7lbs so far.

are you watching your macros?
No more than 25% of your calories should be from fat.
Also, when did you start your weight loss program?
What is your usual workout routine?0 -
Yeah, that's what's weird.
I do cardio at least 30 mins of that, 30day shredder from Jillian Michael's, I clean a lot, always up and down, take care of my daughter, lift weights at least 3xs a week, I cut out a lot of fats, sugars, and carbs.
I started awhile back, but stopped an gained again, then restarted 2-3 weeks ago.0 -
Keep those macros in check and consider checking some of these calculators out and you can finalize what will work for you in the long run. These calculators are not 100 percent for everyone. Although they can help.

Your profile says you joined this month. 7lbs so far in Feb is great!
Each time you lose weight will not be the same. Especially after kids. You'r body is constantly changing. Ensure you are eating enough, getting enough protein, fiber, fats and water. Ensure you are weighing everything properly to ensure your portions are correct. Make sure you are logging every little thing you eat and drink. Make sure you are tracking sodium and limiting eating out, eating processed foods and frozen meals... along with sauces, dressings etc.
Are you eating exercise calories back? You may not be consuming enough food at 1300 calories, especially ifyou don't eat your exercise calories back.0 -
Are you breast feeding (I found that made me hold onto weight for the first year post partum both times not lose weight)
(Edit; if you lost 7 pounds in a month that is really good, nothing to sneeze at.)0 -

I found it more difficult but it is likely due to gaining an excessive amounts of weight with all three pregnancies.0

some other site stated up to 30%...so the reason why Im sticking to 25% for now is as I believe it will help my to cut body fat.0 -

Dietary fat will not increase or decrease body fat.0 -

Are you eating exercise calories back?.
Unless you have calories set for the TDEE cut method you are supposed to eat your exercise calories back... especialy at such a low daily goal. It is how the site is set up. It also helps to properly fuel your body and helps to reduce the muscle loss that happens when you try to lose weight by cutting your calories.0 -
It became a little more difficult after I had kids, and sometimes it feels near impossible doing it at middle age.
Stay strong, you can do it. MFP calorie watch works for me.0 -

There are men that try to do 1200 calorie diets.... Regardless of whether you are male or female and regardless of your goals ifyou use MFPs calculations you eat back your exercise calories. There are a lot of people who do the TDEE method at which point you don't eat them back unless you net below your BMR>0
