I'm a server

Hi every one!!
Is anyone here a server? I've burned tons of calories doing cardio at the gym.
I didn't make a dent on the scale.
However, I started working as a server and boom I lost 5 pounds.
I work full time and do more weights instead.
Do you think being on your feet is like doing cardio?

Try using a TDEE calculator instead. http://www.1percentedge.com/ifcalc/
This way you don't need to "eat back" what you work off. Your activity level over all is boosted by the movement you are doing during your job.0 -
I am a nurse and I am on my feet almost my entire shift (I also do roller derby). Yes, your body gets used to certain things and yes.....walking is cardio. You will have to switch up your exercise periodically and include weights in order to lose weight and inches.0

No. Your job isn't cardio. Early on you may burn a few extra calories but your body will quickly adapt to your service job. Don't mistake work activity for exercise0

I used to burn a hell of a lot more calories on my feet all day, working at Subway, running to and fro, making sure everything was great and things weren't hitting the fan.
Now I sit at a desk all the time with knee problems.
Lifestyle definitely makes a difference. Factor it into your activity level and you'll be okay. I agree with other suggestions that you may have to run your numbers through a calculator and do TDEE -20%.
