Hello! I have been trying to lose some weight for coming up to two months now. I am 25, 5'4 and started off at 129lb. I have been eating right and exercising, generally with the 30 day shred every day and the elliptical every other day for 30min.
Now, i have been tracking my food intake every day and dieting having the odd cheat day now and again but nothing extreme and i am now at 123.8 lb. Does this seem right?
I don't know if it's because i have a little to lose the weight is coming off slower? My goal weight is 116lb which is what i was before i had my daughter.
I have got my measuring tape and have lost an inch around my waist and my clothes feel better and my arms are more toned but i don't know if this little weight loss means that i am doing something wrong?
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks!

It sounds to me like you're losing at a pretty healthy rate - you don't have a lot to lose, so you don't want to lose at more than half a pound or so per week, or you risk losing more muscle than you need to. You've been losing for two months, and you've lost just over 5lb, so that puts you at a very healthy and normal loss rate of just over half a pound per week. It definitely IS a slow process, especially when someone has as little to lose as you do. It's a fairly common phrase around here that the last ten pounds are the most difficult to lose. I'd recommend incorporating some heavy weights into your routine, as I started to see my body fat and inches decrease a lot more quickly when I upped my lifting, although the number on the scale pretty much stalled for a while. Do your best to limit processed foods (it looks like you don't have to worry about sodium, your intake looks good) and make sure that you are hitting your calorie intake goal every day. You've been under your 1450 calorie goal a LOT recently, and by as much as 25% to 30% of your total calories. MFP already builds in a caloric deficit for you. Under-eating won't do you any favors. :flowerforyou:
ETA: I'd also recommend eating more veggies, for their nutritional awesomeness. It doesn't look like you eat many. I am kind of being a hypocrite here, though, because I don't eat as many as I should, either.0 -
With so little to lose you should be aiming at 0.5lb per week, so that looks right on track.
You are seeing results in your inches, and that is far more important than the scale.
nobody sees the number on the scale in your bathroom, but everyone can see your body getting smaller.0 -
When I need a boost I change up my exercise. Try something different. I agree with the .5 lbs in a week0

I'd just like to add that 116lbs might be a little hard to achieve, after a baby your body will be different to before and trying achieve that might just be a little too much. All I mean is, don't get caught up in being your pre-baby weight so much that you don't enjoy life and your bubba.0
