I seriously need to improve my posture.
What exercises can I do at home that will help with pulling my shoulders back? Pushups?

Don't know how good it is yet but I am going to try it.

Any exercise which firms up your back. These help your shoulders.

Posture changes have to be a habit, rather than just exercises.

You can do all the exercises you want, but if you still sit at work in a hunched over posture for 5-7 hours a day in front of the computer, then you'll get muscle strength but won't see a change in posture.

Set up a routine of stretching out or resetting your posture every 20-30 minutes while sitting. At traffic lights, tuck your chin in and rest your head on the head rest.

While I agree it takes a conscientious decision to be aware of your posture, without a strong core it is next to impossible. Pilates and Yoga are my suggestions.

I like to do a wall squat. It really helps out your back. I work at an office and sit for long hours and when I get the chance, I like to go to the break room for a few minutes and do a wall squat.

One time I did a wall squat at work, I was wearing jeans (casual Fridays at the workplace are great) and when I squatted, my jeans ripped. I was embarrassed! I had my t-shirt tucked in at the time and had to un-tuck it because I didn't want my co-workers to see my jeans have a hole on the butt, haha!
