Any previous WW members on here? Just wondering if you lost better on MFP? Thanks in advance.

I did weight watchers...like the first version when you had to track by hand... when I was in college. It worked great...granted I was kinda cheating bc my mother and I were using the same subscription so I really didn't pay for it.
I lost 60lbs but my issue with it was I lost the weight but I didn't really understand the maintenance part and I got tired of counting points but with the app and everything they have now it would be easier! I'm just cheap and don't wanna pay for it so I use MFP and it is working too, maybe a little slower but that's ok. I tried the free trial for weight watchers plus and it was pretty cool, I just rather the free app. Good luck!0 -
WW points are just a formula based on fat+protein+carbs-fiber. Each has a different number of point per gram, carbs and fiber cancel each other out. If you want to track them you can google the free calculator to convert those values into WW points. Your daily points value is based on age, height, and current weight just like MFP does for daily calories. It is just a different way of tracking calories that is more focused on where the calories are coming from. I think the benefit from any food log is relatively the same whether WW, MFP, or just a written journal. People that keep a log of what they eat tend to be more successful and reaching their weight goals.0
