Rant....
Okay...I can only see this so many times with out going insane. I didn't want to flood the other threads with my screaming mind so I put it here.
No your boyfriend and girlfriend are not trying to sabotage you.
No your coworkers are not trying to sabatage you.
Only you can sabatage you.
Have a gosh-darn cookie!
I am not trying to be insensitive...nor rude...nor mean. I am being realistic here. The only person who can set themselves up for failure is you, no one else. If you don't have the will power to control yourself because a coworker buys you a box of cookies, then put the box in the break room and leave a note saying "Free for All". If your boy/girl-friend or spouse is eating food you feel is unhealthy in front of you....then leave the room until they are done! Or better yet, relax and have a slice of darn pizza.
But, to blame your coworker, or your significant other for "sabataging you" is unfair and down right selfish. You have the power to say "NO" here people...use that power!
~End rant.

Almost all of what some people perceive as "sabotage" is really just everyone going about their lives and eating their normal stuff and trying to be polite; if someone at work is giving gifts of food to everyone, they're mostly not going to leave you out for fear you'll be distressed over that. Sometimes it's even going a little farther than that with teasing, which is sometimes not pleasant for the person being teased, but if it's unpleasant, then you just have to put your foot down about it. We are all adults here, and not powerless children.
Every now and then, though, it really is some creepy person trying to make things so difficult for you that you fail. Usually, though, it's not limited just to weight loss but to any area of your life in which you are trying to succeed. If that's really the case, you cut them out of your life for your own sake.0 -

What's awesome about MFP is that you can work that cookie into your calorie allowance and exercise extra to work it off if you're inclined to do so... I'm generalizing here, but if one cookie is going to ruin your life, what you're doing is not reasonably sustainable.
If you've cut out sugar, just say no thanks :flowerforyou: Chances are it was just a nice gesture, unless they shoved it in your face and said "I hope this ruins your diet, fatty," at which point you key their car on your lunch break walk.0 -

Nope totally serious...I think I have seen like 20 posts in the last two days regarding people sabotaging other people, when in reality they are just beening polite human beings. Just fed up lol....0 -

How can anyone say no to girl guides selling cookies0

I will admit it...I sabotage all of the men at my work. I love making cookies and goodies, but I can't eat more than a couple, so I bring them in to the crew of men I work with. It is amazing how quickly a few dozen cookies will disappear when 25 guys get to them.
That way I get my fun (baking) and they get their fun (eating goodies).0 -
i'm sick of my coworkers undercutting me. Every month, we all get together for cake/icecream for whoever has a birthday that month. Having to eat half a cake and a quart of ice cream blows my calorie count away. And then there's the cafeteria on the 3rd floor. Would you believe that they serve cheeseburgers and french fries EVERY DAY? Sure, they have a salad bar and stuff but it's not fair to wave those greasy burgers and deep fried potatoes in my face!!! And they have PIZZA! Jerks are just trying to get me to balloon up to 200 pounds.....
and would you believe some idjit told me that I don't have to eat half the cake? Somebody has to......0
