I am a very picky eater. It is hard for me to eat clean being so picky but Im trying. I just keep eating the same things over & over. I drink water mixed with Muscle tech Protein after I workout for more protein and calories. At the end of the night ( like right now) Im still below my calories that I need. Is it ok to drink more protein and maybe mix with milk for more calories? Just not sure if too much protein is bad or just not a good choice for adding calories.

maybe throw a banana in there with it after your workout.....use milk or almond milk to add some calories...could also put some greek yogurt in it

Protein is an important macro nutrient and no it is not bad to drink more shakes. I wouldn't just use it as a majority of your diet.

Make a protein shake consisting of milk, banana,pb and some oats if it fits your macros. Adjust accordingly.

I agree with the posters here, though I would also consider other good sources of low-fat protein, like shrimp and cocktail sauce or hardboiled eggs from time to time. Cottage cheese (low-fat, of course...NOT no-fat), a good option. Just stay hydrated because of the high sodium levels in cottage cheese...

After my Insanity workouts I love to make a shake with:

1 frozen banana (acts as a carb source as well as a replacement for ice cubes)
Muscle Tech - 100% Premium Whey Protein Plus - Deluxe Chocolate, 1 scoop (32.7g)
1 Cup Light Soy Milk (or Light Vanilla Soy Milk)
    1 Tablespoon Natural Peanut Butter

It has helped reduce my muscle soreness and it's very filling!

When I'm under calories, I have a "Protein" Hot chocolate. (Diet swiss Miss 25 cal pack + 1 Scoop pro. Powder.)

You can't really go wrong with extra protein. (Although excessive amounts over prolonged periods of time can hurt the kidneys.) I wouldn't worry about a little protein powder in milk. It's a great choice!

    Also:

Protein powder is a great SUPPLEMENT, although whole foods will always be a better choice. :)

I am up to 107 total protein for the day. Thanks for all the food tips. I have upped my calories because I am new to this and I was not eating enough. Now I have a hard time on what to eat that is not bad food. I have been reading lots of peoples post to get ideas and learn more about losing this weight. Thanks to all of you!
