Hey Fitness Pals, I’m no sales person nor do I work for either company but I just wanted to know how many of you have a pair of Nike + Plus sneakers and don’t even know it? How about an Apple product?

If you own a pair of Nikes remove the left foot’s sneaker sole, if there is an empty “hole/space” there congratulations you are an Nike + Plus owner. If you own an Apple product i.e. iPod, iPod Touch or iPhone all you have to do is add the sensor for about $30 dollars and you are set for a workout. Please check the website for more info like what Apple product is compatible with the Nike+ iPod Kit.

I‘ve had both for about 3 yrs now and use them as my calorie burning counter, goal setting FITNESS BUDDY.

If you are looking for something to help you along the way check out this site to see how you can put these two to use towards your fitness goals! Happy Fitness

I had these shoes and loved them when i was first starting to run far distances. Gives you a sence of freedom as you can run anywhere and let you know calories burned, miles, mph, times, etc. After running about 200 miles in them I decided to buy some asics and I think they are much better, but thats just my opinion. Happy running :)

Hey...i'm with you all the way...i love it!...particularly like the "power song" setting when i'm flagging...i've also linked it to a C2 5K app that i bought which both run simultaneously.
I did wonder though how accurate the calorie counter is, it seems rather generous compared to using the average values on here.

Even if your shoes are not compatible, they (not Nike) sell something to hold the little sensor thingamajig. You just run your shoelaces through the holes before you tie your shoes.

I sure didn't know that, I will be sure to let my friends know, they are all iPod owners but they are not Nike lovers and with this you can wear just about any footwear! RHANKS

I have both and really like them. I also picked up the holder you attach with your laces. I like the Nike+ shoes but in the future wanted the flexibility of using another brand if I chose and the holder was inexpensive ($6 or so). I use my heart rate monitor and compare the calories burned. I've find they have either been close (within a few calories of each other) or, like yesterday, the Nike+ was LOWER than what my monitor had calculated.

I feel like Charlie from the Willy Wonka movie. I ran to my car, grabbed my shoes & like a little kid looking for that 5th golden ticket, pulled out the left insole *hoping* to see that my shoes were Nike +....but, they're not.
