I posted this under moativation but think it might be here I should post, so reposting!
Im really stuggling to loose weight, I try and excercise as much as I can and when I do I really push myself, well im out of breath and sweaty. I used to drink a lot of beer and have take aways, Ive cut that right out but im seeing no change, my clothes are still tight and its really getting me down. Im at the stage where im scared to eat things beacuse im not loosing weight, if i get asked to go out for dinner I say no. I used to be about 9st but now im stuggling to loose anything. Ive tried lots of slimming tablets, nothing seems to work!
Its been said im not eating enough, but im scared to eat more as nothing happeing. Im really finding it hard, I like to make my own meals and I dont realy like meat.
Im at the stage of trying anything to loose the weight! Any sujestions and advice would be most welcome!

How long have you not been losing weight? A week, a month? Can't see how slimming tablets can be a good idea.0

Im at this crossroad too, Im eating my TDEE and havent lost in more than 3 weeks now.0

slimming tablets are a terrible idea, the medical evidence they claim to have is not well founded, they can be dangerous. best thing is to make little changes to diet, use things like 1 cal oil sprays, eat more veg, fibre be careful of lots of fruit because of sugars and read packages, even bread can be high calories look at the traffic light system or nutritional table on side0

low intensity long workouts, use a heart rate monitor and look at training zones, high intensity builds muscle dosn't burn fat. sounds odd but less you eat the less your body works to process food, need to eat enough to keep the body working, eat small meals 5 times a day0

For starters, eat back your exercise calories. There's already a big deficit in your diet that MFP is giving you...you actually don't have to exercise to lose weight with the MFP method...the weight loss deficit is baked into your diet. And yes, it should be slow...1/2 to 2Lbs per week is considered safe and healthy weight loss.
At least you're not netting terribly low like some I've seen, but nonetheless, you are most probably netting below your BMR. When you do this, your metabolism slows down as a natural response to conserve energy...so your new "diet" now becomes your new maintenance.
You need to eat exercise calories back as per MFP guidelines...better yet, drop the exercise for a couple of weeks and just eat to your goal (not under it, it's a goal...something to be achieved)...get that straightened out first and let your body re-set it's metabolism. You'll likely still maintain for a couple of weeks until your body adjusts..may even gain a couple Lbs, but once it re-sets the weight should start coming off. Then employ a reasonable workout routine for fitness, not weight loss and eat back those calories. Barring that, frankly, you're just going to stay stuck.
Like I said, you don't have to kill yourself at the gym using the MFP method. I employ a fairly modest workout regimen for basic fitness and strength..I burn roughly 200-250 calories per session...400 when I do heavy lift and cardio. When I was using the MFP method, I ate back 80% of my workout calories and have been losing on average 1 Lb per week since I started...just as my goal was stated. 25 Lbs down in 5 months (10 before MFP, 15 since).0 -
Yeah, definitely stay away from weight loss tablets.
I actually just went and looked at your food log and deleted all my healthy eating advice. It looks like you're doing really well. Are you drinking enough water? It seems like you don't log it, so maybe if you started to you'd be more aware of it.
My best advice is to net your BMR, and that may involve eating more. That way, all the things you do throughout your day - like sitting and posting on MFP - will make up your deficit. I know it can be scary especially if nothing works, but maybe your body needs a cheat day to get your metabolism rolling again. Surprise your body and it will start burning fat.0 -

Your TDEE is maintenance...you need TDEE - X% to lose.0 -

I thought I might have messed up my motablisim with yo yo dieting, but wasnt sure what to do to get it back on track. Im not sure what BMR is???0

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE ANY WEIGHT LOSS TABLETS! I heard horrible stories about them- people losing the weight and then getting double of what they lost back! Just don't!0

BMR is Base metabolic rate. it's the amt of calories you burn doing nothing. I mean NOTHING! Coma! the tools in MFP will show you what your bmr is. look in the apps tab and you'll see it.
Have courage and eat that bit more
no-one should eat under 1200 unless they are under 5 foot or under medical supervision.
you are a friend now. see my food diary for ideas. I have been losing steadily for almost a year. no shakes, no pills just real food.0
