After a year of cardio thought should check my body fat percentage.
This was done on tanita bc-418 yesterday
Turns out bf% is now 9.3% which is a bit on the low side
I have a visceral fat rating of 5 on a scale of 1- 99
No idea what numbers were in November 2011 dwhen was 374 lbs - 44lbs over bathroom scale limit
Lost weight initially through mfp at 1200 cals per day but have broadly lost 2 lbs per week on the mfp setting
Eat back exercise calories in the main.
Exercise progress
Started out unwilling to walk further than the closest my car could get me.
Used fitbit to walk 300 miles in period to Feb 12
Started to introduce exercise bike at 20 minutes a day and 12 mph
Built this up to 3 hours per week
Ran out of instant fat to burn and fainted a few times before learning to have calories to burn.
Bought running shoes in May..
More serious about bike too scared to run.
Fist run of 2.7km in September
Bike increased to 100 miles per week
Run first 5k in November in 30 minutes
Christmas gain 8lbs
Manic bike phase starts jan 1 with eight hours per week and 150-170 miles per week
Measure calories burned in McDonalds cheeseburgers as used to have six sometimes on way home to dinner.
Have burned 250 in 2013, this means can have 5000 calories in occasionally.
Ran 5 miles two days ago and only regret is I did not do this earlier.
Now entering maintenance mode and will be adding lifting to schedule.
Mistake of all previous diets was to go to gym too soon and stabilise at unacceptable weights.
I want to thank friends on mfp and happy to help others to achieve their potential.
Please enter goals and story to avoid rejection.
Eat less
Evercise more
Log it all honestly.
You can have a bad day you can have a bad week but never two bad weeks.
Burn baby burn
Better to burn off yesterday's excess than not.
Started this in effort to be nifty at fifty.
Ten pounds left.
