Microwave peanut bread
Hi everyone
Felt inventive today so I made this
It came out pretty well, the best thing about it is that the very slight sweetness makes it work as a sweet or savoury bread. I tried it with honey and with a little cheese and tomato and both were reall nice. It's not rubbery or anything, but quite dense which makes it nice and filling
Depending on your ingredient brands etc this works out to around 100 cals a slice and about 9g carb/3g of fat and 17g of protein per serve. Makes 10 slices
Ingredients
4 tbsp Peanut flour
Dash salt
3 scoops protein powder (I used peanut butter flavour)
3/8 cup wholemeal flour
1 small sachet quick oats (I used honey flavour)
1 tbsp natural peanut butter
1 tbsp apple sauce
3 egg whites
1/4 cup almond milk (or cow/soy/rice/cat)
About 1/2 cup of water or enough to reach a thin batter consistency (think pancake batter)
You could be more culinary about this but I just throw all that *kitten* in a bowl and beat it with a fork.
Pour batter into a microwave safe loaf dish. I don't know the measurements. Mines about the size of... A toaster
Microwave for 3/4 minutes or until loaf is firm. Enjoy
