Does sound good! Couple of questions:

Approximately how much chorizo sausage? You say one, but they vary in size by brand.

The 200g of potatoes, swede, carrots...200g each? a mixture of all that totals 200g? or 200g of whichever one of those you have on hand?

You specify small can of beans, but not the size on the can of tomatoes. Large or small there?

Sorry to be a pest, but I'd love to try this and would like to do it right!

The sausage was the same as a normal sausage.

    Veg 200g mixed

    Large can of tomatoes

    I hope this helps!

Sounds really good. Bet a little saffron would be tasty in it too!

Made this tonight--it was good! Loved the herb/spice combination.

A couple of differences, probably due to British vs. American-size cans and sausages (plus the wine I added--see below): mine made 4 servings, at 406 calories each. I also drained the beans, and then when I looked at the stew there wasn't enough liquid to cover the bits of potatoes and carrots, so I added half a cup of red wine to bring the level up. If I had put the beans in without draining them, I probably wouldn't have had to do this. My son and husband hate swede, so the other change I made was to make the 200g of veggies all potato and carrot.

It turned out quite well, even with the changes, and was a very satisfying dinner with garlic bread and wine. Will definitely make it again!

British name for canola oil. I used olive oil, myself, because I like it better.

Is it really called rape seed or did OP mean grape seed? I'm from USA.

It's really called rape seed. The etymology is very different from "rape" the act of sexual violence--it's from the Latin rapa or rapum, meaning turnip (although it's actually a member of the mustard family, I think). It was odd, as an American, to live in Britain and hear people talking about the lovely fields of rape!
