Hi, Want to start measuring weight loss with the measuring tape but I have some probs:
A- Were do I measure and how do I measure the exact same place next week?
B- Im small already and only need to lose about 10lb so nothing drastic is going to happen, is it difficult to measure such a small change?
C- What if bloated? I could easilly gain inches one day to the next.
d- shall I scap this and get callipers lol

hey no body has replied for it so far....:(
i am checking it every time i log in because even i want to know the exact areas of body for accurate measurements0 -
my BF and I measure every Sunday when we wake up. I suggest picking a day and measuring once a week. Its also best to measure first thing in the morning before you eat. And we only record losses so if I'm bloated I don't count it0
-
Neck - Standing, measure your neck at its largest girth, right over the Adam's apple.
Shoulder - Standing, can either be measured as a straight line from the largest points on each shoulder across the chest or as a girth measurement all the way around the body.
Bicep - Measure at its largest girth, can be taken relaxed with arms at side, relaxed with arm bent, flexed with arm bent or all three.
Chest - Standing, measure with breath out just above the nipple.
Waist - Standing, measure at the narrowest point or at the midway point between the top of the hip bone and the bottom of the rib cage.
Hips - Measure at the largest girth, where the butt is protruding the greatest.
Thigh - Standing, measure at the largest girth, just below the butt.
Calf - Seated if you are measuring yourself or standing if you have a partner, measure at its largest girth.0 -
so I will tell you what I do, and I measure myself.
neck,
arms (half way btwn armpit and elbow)
bust (across nipples. If doing this with a bra... always wear the same one for measurements with no padding)
under bust (where bra sits)
belly button
hips (find hips bones and go right across)
upper inner thigh (if your thighs rub)
thigh (half way btwn knee and upper thigh)
calf

hey thanks its an information i was looking for0 -
Pretty much measure the biggest circumference in each except the waist where you want to measure at its smallest.
the top things to measure is
Chest: measure at the widest area at the top of your nipples without squishing any tissue
Waist- measure at the smallest part, measure it tight but not not squishing anything again
Hips: Widest part of your butt
Thigh- measure at the very top where the widest part is
Arms: Flex and measure at the bicep
As with only 10 pounds to lose, you will still see changes in measurements. Although not a lot.
If you are feeling bloated, don't measure. Measure when you feel the thinnest usually mid cycle and several days after a very strenous workout.
Neck: measure it in the lowest part of your neck near the clavicles.0 -
