First, let me just say I completely misread the word "shift" in your Topic as something else
I have the same problem. Having been down this path before, and it's frustrating. I would see the scale go down over the week, only to bounce back over the weekend. The question is, how often are you weighing yourself and are you making progress? When it goes back up, does it go "all the way"? I think measuring yourself is a great idea, something I have been telling myself recently I need to do for the very same reasons.0 -
The best response to this I have seen on this board:
Keep on doing what your doing, you know what to do. It sounds like you have a plan just do it.
Get away from those scales!!!!
You should not be weighing yourself every day (or if you do don't care about what you see). Set yourself up a once a week (or month) weigh-in schedule. I like Monday's because you have to stay on track over the weekends.0 -
I'm having the exact same problem, and the idea of increasing my calories is kind of upsetting me because I'm scared it will cause me to gain instead.
I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing till July 1st, and if I loose 10 lb, I know I'm doing something right.
I also agree with weighing yourself every monday morning. I think that's a great idea.0 -
Hey Guys
Thank you for all the lovely messages.....was measurement day today and I lost in inches rather than weight lol so as long as I carry on losing in that way then im happy :-) woohoo lol I think sometimes when i dont see it in the scales i feel like giving up but it shows that it might not show on the scales but the hard work is paying off

i hate the scale, i get so frustrated and depressed and feel hopeless if the scale isn't down. So i weigh only when i go to the Dr. and due to other health problems i have to go once a month. In the meantime i can tell by the way clothes fit., I did get good news however this last time, losing weight is correcting the health issues i was having, more motivation there for sure. I still plan to only weigh at the Dr. office and keep faith i am making progress even if it isn't immediately noticeable. Wishing you great success!!:flowerforyou:0
