Food Processor

So, this isn't a recipe but I wasn't sure where to put it - I figured here was best because people posting and interested in recipes are the ones most likely to have (and use) a food processor.
I've been looking at buying one, I've got a million things I'd like to use it for (in particular veggie burgers to get rid of the frozen soy based ones I always end up buying). However, I don't want to drop $100 on one...I was eyeing a Black and Decker one for $30 with mixed reviews, but before I take the plunge I'd love to hear what you all use!

Look at the watts. 400w will do for a good while.
I have a 400w Oster and it is fine for my needs. Mine also comes with a chopping top that would do your veggie burgers.
Oster has a 600 watts model that I wish that I had bought instead, but it is about $60.
Oster also has metal to metal drive on the blades, so they do not strip like the rubber to rubber or to metal ones.
The only other one that has the metal to metal drive is the Vitamix which runs $300.0 -
Sorry, I was thinking blenders. I got a small Cuisinart one for $50 on Amazon. At Leachmere's in Boston, 20 years ago they went for $100. What I really like about mine is that it has the salad shooter, so if you want to grate or slice a lot of something, it just shoots into a bowl and you do not have to keep emptying the processor. Oh, and if you get an Amazon card, it is half. And if you buy on Amazon, you get money off for using the card. Sometimes I order things and get the order free.0

I have an 11 cup Cuisinart processor. I got it for Christmas in 2011, and I use it a few times a week. I was worried it'd be one of those appliances that are fun for the first month or so and then get lost in a cabinet after that. Not so. I especially love using it for onions. I think the 11 cup capacity is perfect for my boyfriend and me. We usually cook big meals to last us a few days. A smaller one might work for you, but I'm just a lazy daisy and like not having to process things in batches.0
