    I don't know why, but I find this extremely annoying. I'd rather see a pic that is not you than a blue-circle-head-outline-person. Even though, I don't really like that either.

    Anyone feel the same? Or am I weird?

    I'd rather see photos too. Photos are more exciting. I don't care if it's a Spongebob or cat photo. At least that tells something of your personality and your likes.

    I had a person, decline my friend request because I did not have a photo in my profile picture. I found it interesting but I respect their choices. It is what it is. They would have found out I do have photos of myself within my profile page, but I just don't use them as my profile picture.

    There's a reason he or she doesn't post a pic. And for that reason, he or she is UNDERSTOOD. It's still a person.

    It's not an obligation. It's a choice whether or not someone uploads a profile pic and we should respect their decision.

    I agree that having no pic is annoying. I don't care if it's a cat drinking through a straw or a hamster and a picture where you are so far away I can't even see you, but I want something there. I feel like you're a real person if you have any kind of picture coming up when we communicate. :wink: The picture is your first clue to me about who you are as a person...so by all means, use Scooby Doo if he means something to you. I can deal with that!

    BTW, is it any less annoying if the pic is not of the poster? Of course I AM sweet tiny adorable piglet. But I can think of many others here who hide nefariously behind false animal photos. :angry: Don't even get me started on the cartoons.

    I recently joined and within minutes I got odd private messages from someone which really creeped me out and scared me from setting an actual profile pic of me. Maybe he was just being friendly… I don’t know, I’m still not sure if I’ll add one…
