Exercises for Outer Thighs

Hi, I do lunges, squats etc on my legs workout day. But the outer thigh seems pretty rigid and does not come off easily. Any exercises for outer thighs??

What do you mean by "outer thigh seems pretty rigid and does not come off easily"?

You can't tell your body where to lose fat. Specific body-part exercises strengthen/build the muscles in that area, and don't burn fat in just that area.

Diet first, and heavy squats, lunges, step ups, deadlifts, box jumps, jump squats, etc. It will eventually come off.

you cant spot reduce ANY part of your body just because an exercise is working the muscle that's not the same thing as saying it has any effect on the fat that's over the muscle

Do they have abductor machines in your gym? You need exercises for the tensor fascia lata. Try to do the 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels. It is free on youtube and it will help you loose overall cm from your bottom area, especially belly and thighs. As you loose weight from allover, you will loose cm/inches from everywhere in your body. You just need to think and not give in emotionally.

As everyone else has stated, this will not spot reduce fat, but if it makes you feel better (and tone muscles), here's some:

Lie down on your side, bottom leg slightly bent and top leg straight. Move the top leg straight up towards the ceiling and back down, not letting it touch the bottom leg when down (no rest for the muscles). If this feels too easy, wrap a resistance band around legs or add some weights (ankle weights, whatever they are called in English? ;)).

You can also do a similar one standing up if you have a resistance band. Stand feet slightly apart, make a loop from your resistance band and put both feet in it so that the band is around your ankles. Then move weight to one leg, and start slowly moving the other away, directly to your side and then back. Do this slowly, especially the moving back-part, so that you can control the movement at all times.

I don't know if anything I said makes any sense, but at least I tried.... :) (I'm too lazy to try looking up any pics/videos right now).

First, yes you can't spot reduce. we have to build muscle overall, and reduce body fat %, where it comes off is based on our genetics and body composition. I have had success with the below exercises though, and when I have forgotten to do them for months, and do them again, I always seem to lose an inch. could just be fluctuation of water or something, there's no way,
I can lose an inch of fat on my most challenging area, in just a matter of days, but if nothing else, we're working muscles in a new direction, so that's good.

lateral skaters, also called speed skaters.

I talk about doing lateral moves pretty often. Most people, me included, forgot to do these kinds of movements.
it could be just the thing you need to get out of a plateau, or whatever.
it also could prevent injuries, or so I'm told.
so just add any or all of them to your workouts, most of them are fun too.

Exercise #381 - Alternating Side Lunge (dumbbell)

we really need to have the ability to sticky some of these threads.
this kind of thing is a very popular question.

Try pilates. I have always had a thigh problem myself. Yet, when I took a couple months of pilates classes I noticed a HUGE change in my appearance. Pilates gives you a nice toned lean look and my legs looked so much longer, even though I'm only 5'3" :) Not to mention, it makes your muscles less tight, improves flexibility, and helps with your core strength, as well. I found it to be very relaxing and beneficial

I still can't figure out what the hell she's talking about. But squats, deadlifts, etc are the way to go if you want to burn off fat.
