I became hooked on Scooby when someone linked me an article about women and working out. I rejoined MFP the day after Christmas. I have varied with in the same 4 pound during all of this. Up, down, up, drop etc..

When I joined MFP I used the 1200 calorie count. I upped it to 1450 half way. I never understood where I should be. I joined a fitness dance studio where I now Zumba 3-4 hours, tone 1 hour, and now adding in 1 Circuit. On average I do 6 classes and/or 4000 calories burned. I know have added in various days of 30dayshred verses Bodylastics.

I have lost a few inches over all. Not happy with weight loss at all. This week I did my normal activity but had two meals that put me way over the 1450 and found I dropped pretty easily. Which leads me to wonder m I eating too little and doing too much.

So, today I go to Scooby and play around. My BMR is 1585, my TDEE is 2457 and my Daily is 1965. I picked 3-5 hours working out.

Any advice would be helpful.

i'm no expert and pretty new to this myself but i'm currently set to be eating 1450kcal before exercise. on average i burn around 200-500kcal a day x 5 so i'm eating up most of those calories. i was told by someone on here to make sure your net intake is at least 1200. This has worked for me as i've been losing an average of 1.5lb a week :)

so, after that ramble ^^ i'd say you need to eat a little more for the amount of exercise you're doing. I'm sure someone more experienced on this site will give you better advise though - haha!

    Yes. Eat more.

I'm an example that the "eat more" philosophy works. I left weight watchers because I KNEW I wasn't getting enough to eat to support my running/training schedule.

I came to MFP last April and ate net 1660 to start (I weighed 180 lbs)... my net 1660 was gross about 2100 daily on average. I'd burn anywhere from 300-1100 calories/day with 1 day off per week.

I lost 21 lbs (after 14 lost on Weight Watchers) with relative ease... now I eat 2300 calories daily, I lift weights, run and do workout videos in my basement and am still getting leaner though my weight isn't changing.

Don't be afraid to eat. Just eat well and fuel the activity. You have to find your own TDEE for real... then you know.

EDITED TO ADD: The net 1660 goal came from choosing "sedentary" and "lose 1/2 a pound weekly" as my goal. I proceeded to lose 8.5 lbs in 5 weeks eating back all my exercise calories... and I'd already been on WW previously so that didn't include an astronomical 1st week loss since I'd already had that in January.

Ok, I think I am getting this - EAT lol....

So based on my BMR- 1585
    TDEE 2457
    Daily 1965

I am thinking of changing mfp to custom. What would be my net that I would key in? Which one is it above? Also I have the percents of Prot, Carb etc... I am thinking of trying this.

Just put in 1965 and when you record workouts, just put in "1" calorie burned. Then it will add the minutes but not the calories.

Or... and this is what I did for a while... you can go back and track your average workout burn for, say, a month. Take 30 days... add up all of those days' workout calories burned including the rest days as "0" and divide by 30. Then, subtract that from 1965 and make it your net goal. Then you would definitely add your burn and eat that.

Both will be exactly the same overall intake except the net method gives you WAY less to eat on rest days... if you can hack it, I find the cycling helps with weight loss. But if it's just too little and drives you crazy on rest days, spread them out. It will work out the same.
