Low Cal/Low Fat Pesto Spread
I really love Pesto but hate all the fat in it so I tried my own recipe today! Tastes delicious!
Here are the ingredients:
1 large bunch (about 1 oz) of fresh basil
1/2 an ounce of parsley (about half the amount of basil)
1 garlic clove
25g of grated romano parmesan cheese
25g of olive oil (about 30mL)
25g of unsalted chicken broth
10 almonds
Instructions:
Mix everything together in a food processor. Add extra chicken broth if you desire a different consistency.
Nutrition facts:
10 servings
Calories = 47
Carbs = 1g
Fat = 4g
Protein = 1g
Sodium = 55g
Sugar = 0g
